Our Story
Health Connections is the trading name of Aries Medical Services Ltd (Company No. 13460879), registered in England and Wales and operating as a CQC-registered ambulance service provider since 2021.
We were acquired in July 2025 with a clear mission: to raise the standard of clinical transport in England — not just for the routine, but for the complex, high-risk and specialist journeys that other providers turn away. Patient transport and secure mental health transport both sit under a single clinical governance framework, overseen by our Clinical Director.
Today we operate from 9 depots across England, with a fleet of 60+ vehicles and a team of 120+ clinical and operational staff. We transport thousands of patients annually for NHS ICBs, mental health trusts, acute trusts and private healthcare providers.
Our registered office is at Unit 46-56 Innovation Centre, Highfield Drive, St Leonards on Sea, TN38 9UH. We trade nationally under the Health Connections brand.
Leadership Team
Samuel Bull
Chief Executive Officer
Samuel leads Health Connections as CEO, having acquired Aries Medical Services in July 2025. He is responsible for strategic direction, commissioner relationships and the company's growth across England.
Lazarus Chirimunjuri
Clinical Director
Lazarus leads the clinical governance function across both divisions. He is the named clinical lead for all MHA transport and oversees training standards, clinical audit and incident review.
William Parker
Clinical Lead — Patient Transport
William leads clinical standards for the Patient Transport division, including NEPTS, bariatric and HDU step-down operations.
Casey Baker
Head of Governance
Casey is responsible for regulatory compliance, CQC readiness, policy management and information governance across the organisation.
Kayleigh Smalley
Head of Training
Kayleigh manages the training programme for all clinical crew — from induction through mandatory annual refreshers to specialist qualifications.
Katie Brindle
Head of HR
Katie leads the human resources function across the organisation, overseeing recruitment, staff welfare, employee relations and compliance with employment legislation.
Rose Barrow
Control Room Manager
Rose manages the 24/7 clinical dispatch operation, ensuring every job is allocated, tracked and completed to the highest standard across all divisions.
Dan Finch
Fleet & IPC Lead
Dan oversees the fleet operation and infection prevention and control across the organisation, ensuring vehicles and equipment meet the highest clinical standards.
Kieran Youens-Byrne
General Manager — North
Kieran leads operations across Health Connections' northern depots, managing day-to-day service delivery, staff and commissioner relationships in the region.
